This delegation is designed for people who are interested in an interactive learning experience about the ever-changing United States and Cuban relationship. We will discuss matters that are affecting the Cuban people nationally and locally in regard to the history of Cuba, its arts, culture, and healthcare system and how we, the people from the United States, are connected to those matters.
Cost: $2,250 plus $100 visa + international airfare
Deadline
Applications and a $250 non-refundable deposit are due by May 23, 2019.
The remaining balance is due by August 1, 2019.
Total Cost: $2,250. Fundraising tips and scholarships may be available.
*Price includes: All meals, lodging, facilitation, interpretation, & transportation within Cuba. As well as, activist tools.
*Price doesn’t include: passport costs, international airfare, and personal incidentals.
Delegation Description
Participants in this delegation will learn about:

Cuba’s medical system: what it teaches us & offers the world.

Artists, poetry, painters, printmakers, mosaics, that sustain the Cuban soul. Enjoy galleries, museums and performances.

Cuban national priorities: universal education & healthcare.

Visit historical sites such as museums, and Old Havana.

Experience the sights, sounds, and taste of Old Havana, its neighborhoods and the surrounding countryside.

Discuss with Cubans recent changes in US and Cuban relations, including the long-standing US Embargo on Cuba.

Meet directly with Cuban citizens including residents of Havana, scholars, artists, members of community and cultural organizations. Delegates will gain an understanding of how Cuba’s unique history has shaped modern life for Cuban citizens.

Cuba’s history as a nation and historic Cuba-US relations.
