About the Delegation
On this BIPOC delegation you will meet Cubans from all walks of life. We will visit and study Cuba’s urban and rural educational programs from primary to university levels including professional schools such as the Latin American School of Medicine and the National School of Arts. Included are meetings with professionals, families, elected officials, the neighborhood doctor, neighborhood organizing committees, and visits to artists’ collectives, museums, and historical sites. Also included is a visit to Matanzas province. A popular visit is to an urban organic garden/farm and market.
We will:

Learn about the Organization of Solidarity of the People of Asia, Africa & Latin America, the Tricontinental, and Cuba’s cultural and political work with anti-colonial struggles

Exchange with unions and grassroots communicators, popular educators, people’s historians, artists

Hear from Cuba's leading economics center about the challenges of the U.S. Blockade and the priorities of the Cuban State and people

Collaborate with the M.L.K. Center, a hub for movement strategy and popular education training

Visit museums dedicated to histories of anti-colonial, Black, and Indigenous resistance, U.S. interventionism, and the youth and women-led Literacy Campaign

Visit to an urban organic garden/farm and market.

Visit and study Cuba’s urban and rural educational programs from primary to university levels including the Latin American School of Medicine (ELAM) and the National School of Arts
Delegation Fee: $2400
The delegation fee covers all in-country expenses (lodging, travel, meals, interpretation, etc.) along with pre-travel resources, reading lists, and support. The delegation fee also covers our international team’s expenses for delegation preparation and coordination. Any amount paid over the delegation fee will go to support delegation sliding scale prices and helping to ensure the delegations are more accessible to everyone. A delegation payment of $2400 or more is ideal to cover all of your expenses and the broader delegation needs-- please pay this amount if you have institutional support or other financial resources.
