Our delegation will learn about
and collectively work to understand the:
impacts of US policies and sanctions on Venezuela
history, myths and realities of the Bolivarian Revolution
struggles of women, LGBTQ+ folks, Afro-Venezuelans, indigenous communities and campesinos within the Revolution
regional and international solidarity efforts with Venezuela, and ways to strengthen the US anti-war and anti-imperialist movement
connections to US policy decisions in Cuba, Colombia, Honduras and beyond
innovative alternatives to capitalism being explored, such as communes; cooperatives; community councils; and state, mixed and independent socialist enterprises
We will begin and end our trip in the city of Caracas, Venezuela’s capital. We will visit urban and rural
communities in different areas of the country, specifically in the states of Lara, Miranda and Vargas, including Barquisimeto, Barlovento and La Guaira, among others.
If you’re committed to building international solidarity, strengthening an anti-racist, anti-war movement, and growing the work of the Witness for Peace Solidarity Collective, we’d love for you to travel with us! Most of all, we’re looking for delegates who will continue to organize against war and sanctions in their communities upon returning home.
