Delegation Fee: $2,400
Delegation fee covers all meals, lodging, transportation, interpretation, and reading and activist tools
The delegation fee covers all in-country expenses (lodging, travel, meals, interpretation, etc.) along with pre-travel resources, reading lists, and support. The delegation fee also covers our international team’s expenses for delegation preparation and coordination. Any amount paid over the delegation fee will go to support delegation scholarship and sliding scales, helping to ensure the delegations are more accessible to everyone. A delegation payment of $2400 or more is ideal to cover all of your expenses and the broader delegation needs-- please pay this amount if you have institutional support or other financial resources.

Bill Fiander

Bill Fiander is a Lecturer in the Political Science Department at Washburn University (Topeka, KS) where he directs the Public Administration program and teaches state/local government, public administration, and city planning. He also enjoys attending study abroad trips with his students to Europe and Cuba. Before coming to Washburn, he served over 30 years in local government as a planner in California, Virginia, and Kansas with the final 10 years spent as the City of Topeka’s planning and development director. He is a frequent columnist for Kansas newspapers and guest on KSNT’s Inside Kansas Politics. Bill is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners, holds a Master of Urban and Regional Planning from George Washington University, and is a graduate of Stanford University. He is originally from Johnstown, Pennsylvania and currently resides in Topeka, Kansas.
